Action BoardAction Board Summary: The instrument's Action is made up of a slotted brass sheet plate, vertical slot, Wound-brass springs, and brass-sheet levers, broader within the pivot area, and the pallets are now circular pale cardboard. Four extra wood-screws inserted through the edges of the action board into the bellows-frame, to compensate for most main end bolts being sheared off. Action Board Pivot: A slotted brass sheet plate. Action Board Levers: Brass sheet levers, thicker through pivot slot Action Board Springs: Brass Action Board Pallets: The pallets are now circular pale cardboard, a material used on almost all subsequent instruments. Action Board Securing-screw pattern: Trio of wooden cylindrical supports receiving the three screws from strap, finger-rest and top fret area. Action Board Sub-fret-board Supports: 3 Rectangular chamois-topped pillars, still used in spite of the corner blocks also securing the baffle. |
