Summary: Flat veneered Amboyna ends, veneered end-frames, the frets of a simple annular design, hand-cut frets with a tiny hole right in the centre (possible where the scribing-tool or compass marked out the boundaries of the annular ring of fretwork).

End Shape: Hexagonal

End Sides: Six

End Diameter: 156mm

End-Profile: Flat

End Material: Flat veneered Amboyna ends, veneered end-frames

End Bolts: Tall cheese-head brass: two absent, later nickel washers added.

Fret Pattern: Hand cut simple Scates pattern.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval Cartouche

Strap Screw-insert type: Removed

Finger-rest: Moulded nickel, with raised upper edge to aid finger support, three securing screws.

Fret Condition: Fine.
