End FretsSummary: A hand-cut pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply, rosewood with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number (both absent). The finger-rests have an unusual curved profile to their outer edges. The fretwork-frame and action frame are clad in rosewood veneer. End Shape: Hexagonal End Sides: Six End Diameter: 157mm End-Profile: Flat End Material: Solid rosewood End Bolts: Medium-height cheese-head brass bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows. Fret Pattern: Oval RH label cartouche, smaller oval LH number cartouche. Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, small oval to LH Strap Screw-insert type: Small rectangular brass thumb-screw inserts, unusually (and possibly uniquely) fitted with only one steel securing screw. Finger-rest: Unusual curved edge profile curved-end brass finger-rests, fully-clad in original green leather. Three small securing screws. Fret Condition: Fine Damage Summary: Case missing. |
