Reeds and Reed Pans

Reed Pans Summary: Conventional radial pans with central hole, inset flush to bellows-frame, and with narrow dividers clad in conventional yellow chamois. The pans are flush to the bellows-frame and reed-pans.

Reed Pans Main Labels: L & R twice, small font.

Reed Pans Stamps: L & R Twice, small font

Reed Pans Serial Numbers: Serial number 7 stamped twice, small font.

Reed Pans Gasketry: pale yellow chamois

Reed Pans Right Hand Cross Pieces: RH: a few small Cork cross-pieces, not topped, on top chambers

Reed Pans Left Hand Cross Pieces: LH: A few small Cork cross-pieces, not topped, on top chambers

Reeds Summary: 96 wedge profiled round-ended brass reed frames, 24 on each side of each reed pan. Square-end frames, with nickel tongues each secured by two small flat brass screws. Note names stamped on each reed-frame.

Reed Frame Material: Brass

Reed Tongue Material: Nickel.

Reed Frame Shape: Tapered square-ended brass reed frames

Reed Tongue Profile: parallel

Reed Securing Screws: Two small flat brass securing screws.

Stamps on Reed Frames: Note names stamped on reed-frames, and also in the outer pan chambers, and around the reed on the inner pan face.
