Reeds and Reed PansReed Pans Summary: Conventional radial pans with central hole, inset flush to bellows-frame, and with narrow dividers clad in conventional yellow chamois. The pans are flush to the bellows-frame and reed-pans. Reed Pans Main Labels: None Reed Pans Stamps: L & R Twice Reed Pans Serial Numbers: Serial number 178 and "L" or "R" together with the stamped initials "JA" are stamped on the INNER face of each pan. Reed Pans Gasketry: pale yellow chamois Reed Pans Right Hand Cross Pieces: RH: 5 Cork cross-pieces, chamois-topped, on top chambers Reed Pans Left Hand Cross Pieces: LH: 5 Cork cross-pieces, champos-topped, on top chambers Reeds Summary: 96 wedge profiled square-ended, extremely narrow, brass reed frames, 24 on each side of each reed pan. Square-ended brass reeds, brass tongues, with open sides to the brass tongue retaining piece, similar to those found in instruments of Nickolds manufacture. Square-end very narrow frames, with brass tongues each secured by two small domed brass screws. Note names stamped on each reed-frame.
