Summary: The post-1848 machine-cut rosewood fretwork is now the standard format. The frets are machine-cut, very slightly bevelled at the edges, with oval embouchures for the dealer's label and for slightly scalloped for a serial number (both present). Fine condition.

End Material: Single-ply grained flat Rosewood ends, with solid Rosewoodside panels around the fret edging and action board levels.
End Bolts: Shallow domed brass end-bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.
Fret Pattern: Post-1848 machine-cut fretwork introduced by Louis Lachenal when he worked at Wheatstone's.
Label Embouchure Pattern: Larger oval to RH, smaller scalloped shape to LH
Strap Screw-insert type: No Strap-screw inserts fitted on this budget model.
Finger-rest: Standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, each with complete original leather cladding. 3 securing screws.
Fret Condition: Poor.
Damage Summary: Top case-strap missing.
