End Frets

Summary: A machine-cut pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply, rosewood in a unique pattern with the key areas in a large shield-shaped central area of the fretwork. No embouchures for maker's label or for a serial number. The finger-rests have a standard brass/curved end profile, but the three securing screws are concentrated near the curved end on the rests. The fretwork-frame and action frame are clad in rosewood veneer.

End Shape: Hexagonal

End Sides: Six

End Diameter: 155.5 mm

End-Profile: Flat

End Material: Solid rosewood, revarnished.

End Bolts: Roughly-made steel bolts, with irregular square brass heads, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Fret Pattern: Solid rosewood in a unique pattern with the key areas in a large shield-shaped central area of the fretwork, no label or number embouchures.

Label Embouchure Pattern: None

Strap Screw-insert type: Inset rectangular brass thumb-screw inserts, each with two steel securing screws.

Finger-rest: The finger-rests have a standard brass/curved end profile, but the three securing screws are concentrated near the curved end on the rests.

Fret Condition: Re-varnished.

Damage Summary: Top strap and thumb-straps missing.
