Full Description: A scan of an extract from “The Repertory of Patent Inventions, 1846” from the London Journal of Arts, Sciences and Manufactures, listing as No 21 Joseph Scates’ Irish Patent for “an improved lever action, with cylindrical fulcrum, for the concertina, accordion, harmonicon, melephon and seraphine.”
