Full Description: One of two large and well-filled leather bound music books, with pieces probably published between 1815 to 1840, by a wide ranging cross-section of London's Regency era music publishers and dealers. Though there are no concertina pieces within these volumes, many names that would become associated with the concertina appear (either as makers, dealers who added their names to other makers' instruments, or as concertina music publishers); there are pieces from Goulding & D'Almaine, Weippert (who with Simpson, dealt in concertinas), Keith, Prowse & Co (Makers and Dealers), Wheatstone & Co, 20 Conduit Street, Cramer (dealer, possible maker), S Gödbé (symphonium player, friend of Wheatstone), Keith, Prowse & Co (early 131 Cheapside address), and R W Keith at early 131 Cheapside address, as piano maker.
