Reeds and Reed PansReed Pans Summary: Shallow pans with no central hole, the chambers in a shallow and very asymmetrical layout. The pan is secured with six triangular corner mounts. The chambers each have a tiny wooden/chamois capped cross piece, and the reeds have aluminium reed-frames, blued steel reeds, the tongues secured with domed steel screws holding down aluminium cross pieces. Pan inset flush to bellows-frame. Reed Pans Main Labels: No circular pan label on this instrument. Reed Pans Stamps: "L" & "R" stamped on inner faces. Reed Pans Serial Numbers: "419" stamped on inner face Reed Pans Gasketry: Pale grey chamois Reed Pans Right Hand Cross Pieces: RH: Every reed chamber has a chamois-capped wooden cross-piece. Reed Pans Left Hand Cross Pieces: LH: Every reed chamber has a chamois-capped wooden cross-piece Reeds Summary: 24 wedge profiled, round-ended aluminium reed frames, 12 on RH reed pan, 12 on LH reed pan. Blued steel reed-tongues, with pairs of small steel securing screws, holding down the tongue via an aluminium cross-piece.
