Summary: Later style, less intricate (but still hand-cut) pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply rosewood, with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number (only maker's label present). The divided end arrangements of Fretwork-frame and action frame are of Rosewood veneer. The "Double" was manufactured without finger-rests, but this model has had brass finger-rests fitted, with evidence from screw holes sub-fret that the rests had been moved inwards toward the keys, with a fancy brass plate added to conceal the old screw holes.

End Shape: Hexagonal

End Sides: Six

End Diameter: 197mm

End-Profile: Flat

End Material: Solid rosewood ends, veneered frames

End Bolts: Medium cheese-head brass bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Fret Pattern: Less intricate Charles Wheatstone 1840s pattern

Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, batwing-shaped to LH

Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by a single steel screw
