Main Case: Original hexagonal rosewood-veneered case, finely-grained, and with a fine and original gloss varnish finish.. Solid bevelled rosewood lid, top strap a belting replacement. Red velvet lining, lock embouchure absent, two-clasp brass lock.

Main Case Shape: Hexagonal

Main Case Measurement: 180x 168mm tall

Main Case Material: Original hexagonal Rosewood veneered case, solid bevelled lid.

Main Case Lock: A two-clasp brass lock, stamped "Patent" with embouchure missing.

Main Case Hinges: Two Brass hinges, each with four steel screws, (one missing) and stamped "B & Co Improved".

Main Case Straps: Top strap is a rough belting replacement.
