The divided end arrangments of Fretwork frame and action frame are of radial grained, rosewood. End Shape: Hexagonal End Sides: Six End Diameter: 154mm End-Profile: Flat. End Material: Single-ply rosewood with fine and near perfect fretting, of a similar pattern to earlier models. End Bolts: Shallow-profile cheese-head brass bolts - an early use of these more conventional bolts in the early Wheatstones in the Collection. Fret Pattern: Handcut intricate pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply rosewood fretwork, with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number (both present). Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, bird/shield-shaped to LH (showing serial No 630). Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by a single steel screw. Finger-rest: More standard format curved-end silver-plated brass finger-rests, no trace of leather cladding, three securing screws.
