Reed Pans Summary: Double-sided reed-pans, with complex hexagonal wood sub-fret baffles, nestling down onto the bellows-frame corner supports, and fitting closely against the inner pan-faces The teardrop-shaped holes in the baffle are intended to direct more air to the smaller frets, yet reduce the air hitting the larger (and potentially louder) bass reeds.
