End Frets

Summary: A simple machine-cut pattern of varnished rosewood-veneered frets, in the standard pattern of many 2- row George Jones anglos of this period.

End Shape: Hexagonal.

End Sides: Six.

End Diameter: 155mm

End-Profile: Flat.

End Material: The fretwork-frame and action frame edges are rosewood-veneered over mahogany.

End Bolts: Tall cheese-head domed brass bolts. (As used on most better quality anglo production in this period) securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval embouchure with damaged maker's label, and smaller scalloped-top oval for LH serial number (number absent).

Strap Screw-insert type: Inset brass circular screw inserts, secured by single steel screw (LH insert missing.

Damage Summary: Replacement LH hand-strap, case missing, worn bellows edgings.
