Case and OtherMain Case: Original square case, of velvet-lined plywood clad in stitched brown leather, with inner mounting cradle. Leather front strap, and a pair of simple clasp locks and drop-down clasps on lid edge, with original key. The case contains the original West Street receipt, dated July 8th 1939, showing that the instrument (ref: 127 as in the ledger entry) was paid for in instalments, finishing on 19th August 1940. Main Case Shape: Square case, of velvet-lined plywood clad in stitched brown leather. Main Case Measurement: 288 x 250 x 288mm tall Main Case Material: Square lined plywood, clad in leather. Main Case Inner Label: A gilt lettered oval red paper label from " C. Wheatstone & Co, Inventors, patentees & Manufacturers, Concertinas and Ĉolas, 15, West Street, Charing Cross Road, London W.C.2".
